The present design conceives the creation of a pavilion as a place of meditation, both individual and collective, the shady circular path takes the visitor from the crowded Alameda Central to an intimate and protected space. The external physical path wants to lead the visitor to an internal metaphysical path.

The pavilion itself represents the path that different societies and cultures had to go through during the years of the pandemic. It wants to describe the philosophical and psychological implications that the human being has been forced to go through:

-The external Plaza, the past | the everyday life that had to change,
-The Path, the present | the darkness and the uncertainty, moving shadows, distorted sounds, limbo.
-The internal Plaza, the future | the need to meditate and ponder on what has been and what will be.

Structurally, the vertical elements of the internal part must lean against those of the external part, they join together, drawing an uncertain boundary between the inside and the outside. The visitor is led to walk on the gravel, moving in a state of suspense, without sure steps, in the dark, until reaching the internal space, where it’s possible to quietly sit on the solid rocks, meditate peacefully about the future and get used to finally be together again.

It is intuitive to assemble the plaza because of its vernacular and rudimentary technologies, inspired by the Mayan abode of the past:
